What about foreigners who wish to migrate to Thailand ? What are their reasons or factors that influence their decision ?
Clearly, retiring in a warm, cost effective prospering third world country with many of the desired conveniences is by far not an unknown event and could apply to many countries aside from Thailand.

Some migrate in search of employment or came employed, loved the country or its women or men and decided to stay.

Others especially from America, Australia-NZ, Europe and even Japan, have found Thailand profoundly a better choice as they sought to leave bad marriages, lonely existences or feminist dominated societies at their homeland.

No doubt opinions that the standard of living is better in Thailand than it was in their homeland, is subjective.  While circumstances dictate their choices, it is said that the search of happiness is  ULTIMATELY the key to migrating to THAILAND.

But IF you are thinking about Thailand, let us give you reasons WHY you SHOULD migrate to Thailand:

1) Delicious Food and Range of Variety
You can find Thai food from USD 1 up to USD 1,000 per meal per person. Even in Sukhumvit at Soi 26, you can find a bowl of seafood noodles (Rad Na Talay) for a mere 35 Thai Baht ie less than USD 1.20.  Thailand especially major cities and islands such as Bangkok, Chiangmai, Pattaya, Phuket, KohSamui and Danok, have restaurants and hotels that offer Italian, French, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, British, Vietnamese, Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Nepali, Singaporean/Malaysian, Indonesian, Australian, Mexican, German, Dutch, Scandinavian, African, South American, Cajun, Chinese, Portuguese, etc.  End of the day, you can chose to eat at expensive international hotels, foreign restaurants, local restaurants, hawker stalls, fastfood joints, etc. Its just up to you to manage your money !

2) Nice Warm Weather
mid-November - February : Cool season
March - mid-June : Hot season with exciting Songkran water festival in April
mid-June - early-September : Fringe season
early-September - mid-November : Rainy season

3) Great location for holiday and stay
It’s Perfect for Travel
The Postcard Perfect Tropical Islands
The Lush Jungles
Cool Mountain areas

4) Living
In major cities you have an international Environment

5) Thailand is Convenient

6) People
The Friendly Locals who would go out to help you
The Beautiful People abound and accessible

7) It’s Cheap!
 Cost of Living
Can you survive or live well in Bangkok or rural Thailand on 30,000 baht a month? Depending on individual needs and lifestyles. The general answer is yes. This is how you do it :

Approximate conversion rates as of May 2013
30 baht to one US Dollar
50 baht to one Pound Sterling
Monthly budget in Thai Baht
a) Transportation 500 for gas for motorcycle bought for 20,000
b) Utility bills Roughly 1,800. 500 for water and electric, 850 for cell phone and internet, and 400 for laundry.
c) Food - both restaurants and supermarket shopping 8,000. 6,000 for restaurants and 2,000 at the supermarket.
d) Nightlife and drinking Roughly 6,000
e) Room rental in local apartment area at 3,500
Now, where do many foreign men go wrong in managing their money?
Easy :  INDULGENCE

If you fall in love with working women aka bar girls, agogo, prostitutes, freelancers, etc  THEN there is NO way ANYONE can STOP you from exhausting your FUNDS.

Pay for sex and female company. Why buy when you can rent ? The cost of hooking up with working women is that they chose this profession as means to support themselves, families, husbands/boyfriends.  They get hardened very quickly and influenced by peers, see customers as walking ATMs.

Therefore, to be happy in Thailand and to live cost effectively, you must live like a Thai male.  Which is, goto to pay for play venues for your sexual releases. But in the meantime, if in need of love, through introduction of your Thai male acquaintances at work or residence, get to know Thai women from good families and professions.

Lastly, any foreigner hooking up with women purely from tourist areas, will be hard pressed to find good women. This may include even the waitresses at restaurants.

8) Income tax rates in Thailand start off low
But if you are a big earner, they can get close to Western levels. As at early 2008, the tax rates were as follows:  Income in Thai baht Tax Rate
 0 - 150,000 0
150,000 - 500,000 10
500,000 - 1,000,000 20
1,000,000 - 4,000,000 30
4,000,000+ 37

9) Transportation is generally good
- BTS/Skytrain
- Subway/MRT
- Taxis
- Pickup trucks
- Buses
- Trains
- Rail
- River boats
- Motorcycle Taxis
- Rental cars, vans, motorbikes

10) You can operate your own businesses

So, there you are.  Ten excellent reason to migrate to Thailand.
